Dr Meng Ng and Mr Thomas Wong were both awarded the Commonwealth Services Award for their voluntary services to the Badminton Sports. 

 

Dr Meng served as volunteer coach to the CastleHill RSL Badminton Club for decades, dedicating his time and energy to help young beginners pick up the game.  He spent every of his weekends coaching the juniors and giving them encouragements. 

 

Mr Thomas Wong has been volunteering his services to Australian Badminton Association, NSWBA and SBA as linesmen and general hand in International tournaments, state tournaments etc.  His services including many of the menial jobs that no one would do, in setting up or closing down the courts.  He has been a dedicated handiman and volunteer for the CastleHill RSL Badminton Club for decades, doing all the odd jobs to keep the club's assets/equipment in good working order.  He has also volunteer his services as Committee Members for several years.
